update on the painting of Hope the great

I'm trying out another way of painting, i want to capture life and not lose it in rendering. I'm painting, not matching colors or blending everything meticulously, i want the brush strokes to show up and read as direction and volume. It's a bit scary, but i like how it's coming out.
i know that you can't read the turn of the head, but it's coming,i just didn't get a chance to work on the branches on the bottom, i wanted to do the harder part of getting the face behind the branches first. I'm still putting the other branches all the way in the back in. I figured it would make more sense to do the light green backdrop first and then paint those on top rather than paint all around it...that would drive me crazy.
